Don Tortaco Mexican Grill has become our local go-to place when we want some yummy authentic Mexican food but don't feel like cooking, don't have much time or just need to fill an instant craving! Don Tortaco's is a fairly small place but still has several tables to dine in and is always clean. The staff has always been friendly and helpful with whatever we may need. You can call in your order, order online or just stop in. We've ordered each way and have never had any issues with our order or the service. Typically I like to stop in and look over the menu again in person in case I see something different I want. The wait is never long and it gives me time to bag up some delicious Chiles, Carrots and Onions as well as some salsas to go. Usually by the time I'm done my order is fresh, hot and ready to go! So about those instant cravings...mine is always for the Carne Asada Fries, my wife's is for the Chile Relleno Burrito and my daughter also loves the Asada Fries and the Carne Asada tacos too! The rice and beans are always great as well. Don Tortaco Mexican Grill has many options on the menu that look and sound great...I really want to try more but am hooked on the Asada Fries bad! Good food. I love the carne asada burritos. Good enchiladas. Very nice staff. I would like to see green sauce as an option.
I was feeling a little hungry well into the evening (10:30pm) so I did a pitstop at this place which has a sign saying it's 24 hours but currently they close at midnight. I was told that later they will be 24 hrs which is great. The place was super clean - I think they were prepping for end of night. I ordered a Carne Asada breakfast burrito and chicken rollers with guacamole and cheese. I got both the red and green salsas. I went home to eat it and it was all really good! The breakfast burrito was plenty big for the price and the red and green salsas were delicious. The chicken rollers were nice and crispy and the guacamole on top was also good. The person who took my order was super friendly and took the time to explain what was in the items that I asked about - much appreciated as I had not gone to a Don Tortaco in ages! Overall - this is a great place if you want to get some food super fast!
